Frequently asked questions
How do you set the price?
Per source word, depending on the language pair, the technical level and the deadline. Detected repetitions bring the total down. No hourly billing and no file handling fee: the amount on the quote is the amount on the invoice. Indicative ranges are on the Rates page.
Can you translate directly inside my website?
Yes, through the XLIFF exports of WordPress and Shopify, which preserve structure, links and formatting. Title tags, meta descriptions and alt text are translated too: they are what carries your visibility in Dutch or German.
What if a word choice does not suit me?
Tell us within fifteen days and we correct it free of charge. If the difference is a house preference rather than an error, we still record it in your glossary so the choice is followed from then on.
How long for a large volume?
Allow around 2 000 words per working day and per translator, revision included. Beyond that we split the text between several linguists working from a shared glossary, with a final harmonising revision that irons out differences in style.
Do you use machine translation?
Not without your written agreement. On some high-volume, low-risk content, post-editing can make sense and cost less: we then propose it openly, never quietly.
