You get a firm price and a precise date within the hour, or confirmation that an interpreter is free on your date. If the document turns out to be longer or the meeting overruns, the quoted amount does not move.
A confidentiality agreement signed by every translator and every interpreter, servers located in the European Union, your files deleted as soon as you ask. Processing complies with the GDPR, and we will sign your own agreement if your file calls for it.

Look at who the document is for. A municipal desk, a court, an embassy or a diploma recognition service will require a sworn translation: it is signed and stamped by a translator listed in the Belgian national register of judicial experts, with a statement of conformity that binds them. For an internal contract, a manual or a website, a standard translation is enough; the linguistic quality is the same, only the official standing differs.
1 hour for any request arriving between 8am and 10pm, seven days a week. You receive a firm price, a delivery date and, for interpreting, confirmation that an interpreter is free. Nothing is added afterwards.
A standard translation is counted per word of the source text, depending on the language pair, the technical level and the deadline. A sworn translation is counted per started page of 250 words. If you send us several similar documents, identical segments are spotted and are not charged again at full rate.
It depends on who receives it. When the sworn translator's signature has to be legalised, we take care of it at the FPS Justice: count on 3 to 5 extra working days. For a document heading abroad, an apostille from the FPS Foreign Affairs is often required as well. We do not carry out that step for you, but we tell you from the quote onwards whether it applies and at which desk to request it.
No. A sharp phone photo or a scan is enough, and the translation goes back by e-mail. When the authority insists on the stamped and signed paper original, we send it by registered post, in Belgium and abroad. So you never have to come to Liège, which often saves a day.
Yes. The Court of First Instance also sits in Huy and Verviers, and our interpreters go there just as they go to Seraing, Herstal, Visé, Waremme, Spa or Eupen. Within the province, travel is part of our interpreting rates. For document translation the question does not arise: everything is handled remotely.
For a conference with booths, allow 5 to 10 working days: a team of two interpreters per language has to be assembled and equipment brought in. For liaison or sworn work, we very often find someone within 24 hours, including when a hearing is listed from one day to the next.
Yes. Eupen, Sankt Vith and the German-speaking municipalities are an hour from Liège, and German is the official language there: a certificate, a contract or a judgment intended for those authorities has to reach them in German. We also translate into Dutch for dealings with Limburg and Maastricht, forty-five minutes away. In both cases the translator is a native speaker, and sworn whenever the document requires it.
Every translator and every interpreter in our network signs a confidentiality agreement. Your files sit on servers located in the European Union and are deleted as soon as you ask, in line with the GDPR. For a sensitive matter, we are happy to sign your own agreement before we even receive the documents.
